David Mollinedo, Yuri and Kerry Mondal touring Casa de Angelina
Clothes dryer behind every house at least for the dry team
Guatemalans talk with their hands - grin
When there are 10-15 children in your house you need cubby holes for clothes and shoes. This is one of the new houses yet to be occupied.
The original building is now the school house. Library coming in new construction to the right.
Constant discussion during the tour.
This was cute, the sink is made for three/five year olds to wash hands at without needing a stool to stand on!
Hands! see what I mean, talking with hands.
One team designed and built a professional BBQ and smoker. Guess which state they were from. Being from NC the other BBQ state we may have to arrange a cook off!
I am working on an invite to the next BBQ Cindy
It was Semana Santa and schools were closed, yet this brother and sister team went over to work on their studies. Their little faces lit up when Kerry caught them at their books. Precious sight.
You smiled when you looked at these faces, I know you did.
The girl standing came to Casa de Angelina weighing 8 pounds at 18 months. Now 7 y/o she is healthy and happy. 80 to 90% of their admissions are malnourished. Before and after pictures on their website are moving.
You smiled again!
Ahhh!
I KNOW this girl and I are related - look at that dimple Mom!
Gardens all over this region. They are high enough they can grow what we would call cool weather crops. This orphanage has a small Aguaponic greenhouse raising fish and vegetables.
9,000 meals a month by professional chefs. I have eaten here and never had a bad meal. The staff here bless these children and show visible grace of God.
Please pray for this orphanage and for David as he works through all the requirements to start homes for orphanages.
Every kid should have a forest to play in don't you think?
