volcanic ash on wipers this morning.
Our beautiful balcony...
Central Atrium and propane tank farm. It was perfectly clean the day before.
Wall for our back yard. The flowers have taken a beating.
The same shot as in the dark the album before this except it it daylight and it has rained. The ash/sand is so heavy that rain doesn't move it around very well. It will take shovel and pressure washer it looks like.
Cindy surveying the work to be done.
Driveway.. you can barely see the tile outline. In the city less than 10 km away they had three inches of the stuff. We feel blessed.
Going to see if it will rain off the roof, if not will have to sweep it off soon.
Next door neighbor has started on the cleanup. three piles of sand and more to do.
These sidewalks are concrete... that ash is all through the grass as well tho' you can't see it.
the bodega (warehouse) wasn't nearly as effected as we were at home. Still there is more there than it appears.
There is enough on the plastic that it will effect the light and growth of the peppers n the greenhouse. So they cleaned that off = all of the canopy in one day... hard work
A little piece of Guatemala, probably will end up in my mother's kitchen in the future.
Check out the first Pacaya album for a before photo of this Gerber daisy. It looks sort of sad this morning. I wonder if the inch worm in the before picture drowned in the ash and rain?
